How does continuous monitoring technology work?
Networkfleet's system dynamically measures and reports the status of a vehicle's emission control system. What other air quality organizations are using Networkfleet's technology?
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) is using Networkfleet's system to study the impact of remotely monitoring the emissions on 1,000 high mileage vehicles in the greater Los Angeles and Bay areas. Initial research indicates that approximately 38 tons of NOx, 233 tons of CO, and 14 tons of HC would be eliminated each year if emissions are continuously monitored on the 3,500 taxis operating in San Francisco and Los Angeles and there was a statutory requirement for repairs. If all taxis in the state of California were equipped with a Networkfleet system and were required to be repaired, the number of vehicles from which emission benefits could be obtained would increase to an estimated 8,500 currently operating within California. This would more than double the emission benefits.
Why would a taxi or transit company agree to install Networkfleet systems?
